Karen Bartlett

Karen earned her B.S. in Dietetics from Miami University in Oxford, OH (May 1986) and completed the Augusta Area Dietetic Internship (August 1987). She also successfully completed the certificate in training in pediatric weight management. Initially, she work in public health specializing in high risk pediatrics. Eventually she  found her way back to clinical dietetics and work at the Medical College of Georgia and Northeast Georgia Medical Center before deciding to go into private practice. She has continuously mentored students encouraging future dietitians.Currently, Karen is licensed in Georgia and South Carolina. She is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Georgia Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and the South Carolina Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.  She specializes in pediatric and adult wellness and weight management, sports nutrition, eating disorders, and GI disorders. She sees patients via telehealth. 

Karen is also a Certified Water Aerobics Instructor and enjoys teaching classes. 

In her spare time you can find Karen in, on, or near water swimming, paddle boarding, and walking or biking the beach. She also loves to play tennis and pickle ball. Gardening and growing foods and herbs she can cook with is another passion.
