Ashley Meachum
Registered Dietitian, Ashley Meachum, graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelors of Science degree in Dietetics. She completed her dietetic internship at Southern Regional Medical Center. Even at a young age, Ashley knew she would become a dietitian, and she gives credit to a family member who introduced her to the concept of health and nutrition.
Ashley’s work experience includes over 15 years of clinical nutrition experience and over 7 years of outpatient nutrition counseling. She is well versed in a variety of disease states, including kidney disease and diabetes. Ashley enjoys helping clients manage various disease states and improve their overall health. She assists them in setting personalized goals that are not only obtainable but also sustainable. In regards to weight management, she is supportive of The Health at Every Size® approach.
Outside of her work as a Registered Dietitian, Ashley enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, gardening and cooking. During college basketball season, she cheers for the University of Kentucky unless, of course, they are playing against the University of Georgia.
