Gut Health, Allergies, Intolerances
Food Allergies, Intolerances & Sensitivities
Our Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDNs) help identify foods that trigger adverse reactions, liberalize diets where possible, and ensure nutritional needs are met to prevent deficiencies and protect quality of life.
Food Allergies vs. Sensitivities
Many people use the terms allergy, intolerance, and sensitivity interchangeably, but they are different.
Food Allergy: An immune response to a food. This can be dangerous and requires careful management.
Food Intolerance/Sensitivity: The body struggles to process or digest a food. Not dangerous, but often uncomfortable.
Food allergies affect millions in the U.S., and eliminating foods can feel overwhelming. Meeting with an RDN is a great first step toward building a safe, balanced eating plan tailored to your needs.
Gastrointestinal (GI) & Stomach Issues
If you struggle with digestion or experience uncomfortable stomach symptoms, an RDN can help. We often recommend seeing a gastroenterologist first for testing and diagnosis. Once a diagnosis is made, we work with you to identify foods to avoid and strategies to improve comfort.

Diabetes
Medical Nutrition Therapy for Diabetes
Being diagnosed with pre‑diabetes, diabetes, insulin resistance, or high blood glucose can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to face it alone. Nutrition therapy is a proven way to reduce risks, improve outcomes, and build confidence in managing your health.
Why Nutrition Therapy Matters
Diabetes affects the body’s ability to make or use insulin, leading to high blood sugar. Maintaining healthy blood sugar levels is key to preventing complications. Even pre‑diabetes, which often has no clear symptoms, can increase risks if left unmanaged.
Research shows that consistent work with a Registered Dietitian can help you:
Manage weight effectively
Improve cholesterol levels
Reduce the need for medications
Lower the risk of related diseases
Protect both your health and finances by preventing costly complications
Our Approach
There is no “one‑size‑fits‑all” solution for diabetes. That’s why our Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDNs) create personalized diet plans based on your body’s unique needs, medical history, and lifestyle. Together, we’ll address your individual concerns and build a plan that is:
Realistic and sustainable
Focused on long‑term success
Designed to help you achieve balance and peace of mind

Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) testing
We offer RMR testing in office. $125
• Precise Measurement of Metabolism
We use a clinical‑grade device to measure your resting metabolic rate which is the number of calories your body burns at rest. This is more accurate than online calculators or estimates.
• Simple, Non‑Invasive Test
The test involves breathing into a handheld device for a short period (usually 10–15 minutes). It’s painless, requires no blood draw, and can be done comfortably in office.
• Personalized Nutrition & Fitness Guidance
Results show your unique calorie needs. We use this data to tailor recommendations for weight management, athletic performance, or overall health goals.
• Baseline for Long‑Term Planning
Knowing your RMR helps establish a foundation for meal planning, exercise programs, and monitoring changes over time (e.g., after weight loss or muscle gain).
• Immediate Results
